Composition 259

Composition 259
As you may recall from the Shadow Line (Part 3) blog, I decided to pull one of the figures from that composition and produce something quick and simple. After all the deliberation involved in a larger scale work, it was refreshing to produce something with “charcoal meets paper” speed and energy.

Composition 259 came together over about an hour on a Saturday morning. I employed the fixed ratio selection technique used on some of the early work along with the image processing approach from the shadow line sequence. It fell together so succinctly, it almost composed itself.
